Consolation Donut ™

Guys in every city and town across America, would go out and hunt for women-dates-pickups-girlfriends on Friday or Saturday nights.   Much later on in the evening, The Waldos would see guys-strangers walking around by themselves eating a donut (or some other sweet treat) who had obviously struck out with women that same night.   We would spot them and say, “hey, there’s a guy eating a Consolation Donut.”
